Tonight, after 7 months, the truth came out.
Danielle arrived in Walford with "just a suitcase and a dream of a new life". She made friends with Stacey, who gave her a job on the stall and offered her the spare room at the Slater's. Danielle had a crush on Callum and Callum tried to make Stacey jealous by using Danielle. Callum helped Danielle get a second job cleaning the Vic where both Ronnie and Archie used Danielle to get information and Archie had Danielle steal Ronnie's post and when Ronnie found out she sacked Danielle from her job at R&R. Danielle has a locket with a photo of Ronnie and she turns out to be Ronnie's long-lost daughter Amy. Ronnie had Danielle when she was 14. Archie disapproved and forced her to put her up for adoption hours after she was born. Her adoptive parents renamed her Danielle. When her adoptive mother died in 2007, she decided to find her birth mother.
Stacey left Danielle to look after Jean who left Jean on her own when Ronnie asked her to waitress at a function night at R&R. Jean's duvet fell onto the electric heater and almost started a fire. Stacey was angry with Danielle for her neglect and threw her out of the house. Danielle saw Callum leave and noticed he left the flat door open so stayed there the night. She was found the next morning by Ronnie and Ian. Danielle helped Ronnie clean up the flat as a punishment for sneaking in and Danielle told Ronnie she was pregnant. Ronnie went to the clinic with Danielle to terminate her pregnancy. Danielle went home to Telford to stay with her family for a while. When she returned to Walford she told Stacey that Ronnie's her mother and that she's trying to find the right time to tell her.
Danielle was looking after baby Amy for Roxy when Ronnie found her and told her to keep away from her. Archie found out Danielle was his granddaughter and tried to stop her from telling Ronnie because he'd told Ronnie that her baby was dead.
Tonight, Ronnie found Danielle upstairs in the Vic with baby Amy. Danielle tells Ronnie that she is her daughter. Ronnie thinks Danielle is lying, but finds out Archie had lied to her. Ronnie runs to Danielle, but Danielle is knocked down by Janine's car. Danielle dies in her arms, in a dramatic end to the storyline.
